This is an excellent amp, well cared-for, and with many years left in it. The part looks like a germanium transistor, and has the number 61008 printed on it. And it has been in a low-humidity environment for most of its life. I have an old kasino amplifier that used to be my favorite amp until a part went bad. No cuts in the tolex covering (or whatever it is) There isn't a cut, tear or imperfection to be seen. Other than a few very minor "owies" on the back, the amp is flawless. If you even find one, it likely won't be as nice. You don't see many of these amps anymore, and none in this fabulous condition. It's been my practice amp for 45 years and it's never been in the shop. With all these controls, there are a multitude of tonal choices for both guitar and bass. Kasino amps serial numbers#
I've seen both five and six-digit serial numbers on others. The serial number on this one is 4XXX, which would make it one of the earliest Kasino amps. They were originally made in Chanute, Kansas-where this one was produced in 1972.
They were the same amp inside as Kustom but without the plush covers. Kasino 200 amplifiers were made by Kustom-you remember the padded vintage amps that came out in various colors a half century ago. Kasino amps were made in the 1970s another quality product of Kustom Electronics.
